Nabil Z. Seyidov

Dr Seyidov has been working as a physician with specialisation in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases for over 15 years. He had his medical training at Azerbaijan Medical University with clinical residency and internship at the Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. He received his PhD in cardiovascular diseases from Scientific Center of Cardiovascular Surgery of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
Since 2014 he has been actively involved in promotion and development of public health system in Azerbaijan with the specific interests in primary healthcare, health economics, palliative and hospice services, reproductive health, children’s health, e-health and medical training & education. Since 2019 Dr Seyidov is the coordinator of American Heart Association’s International Training Center in Baku, Azerbaijan and provides the medical students, resident-physicians and healthcare professionals with internationally recognized hands-on ACLS, BLS, PALS and since 2022 also ITLS training courses.
As a head of health policy & planning department of Public Health and Reforms Center of Ministry of Health, Dr. Seyidov has been an initiator and coordinator of many projects as well as lead-investigator and co-investigator of research studies including COSI, HBSC and COVID19 Vaccine effectiveness among healthcare workers. During COVID19 pandemic with his team Dr Seyidov initiated the “ecourses.az” platform to enable medical and non-medical professionals with access to hundreds hours of specialised educational content as part of CME activities.
He is an author and co-author of over 30 training manuals, books and guidelines and 15 scientific articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is also an editor of Eurasian Journal of Clinical Sciences.
