I joined the LSTM Department of Education in April 2019, and am now a Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology.

Prior to that I was a research fellow at Aberdeen University, systematic reviewer at the University of Edinburgh and a lecturer in epidemiology at the University of Central Lancashire. I obtained the MPH from Cardiff University and a PhD in environmental medicine at Aberdeen University.

Before MPH I worked as a medical doctor specialised in asthma and other allergic diseases in Azerbaijan. In Azerbaijan I was also involved in the work of International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN WFP and the collaborative MoH and WHO tuberculosis projects.

My expertise is in quantitative research and evidence synthesis. I have a track record of successful grant applications and publications in high impact journals.
