She has born on 27 th  December 1968 in Baku. In 1992 she graduated Azerbaijan Medical University with
honor and worked as pediatrician in child health care institution. In 2007 she obtained master’s degree
on Public Health. Last 20 years’ she worked in many national and international organizations and
projects as public health specialist. In 2010-2019 she was appointed a head of apparatus in the Ministry
of Health of Azerbaijan Republic.  In 2019 she started to work in Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan
Republic as head of apparatus. In 2020 she was appointed Deputy Chairman of Food Safety Agency by
Presidential Decree. Zakiyya Mustafayeva has several state awards for achievements in the field of
public health development in the country.
Her areas of expertise are followings:
–              Public Health specialist with special competence in Health Systems’ strengthening, Health
Education, Health care management, Food Safety expertise.
–              Over 20 years’ experience in the design and implementation of Health Reforms; inter-sectoral
coordination for development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of national health
policies/strategies;
–              Solid background in Health education; reforming under/postgraduate education system,
Continuous Medical Education, certification/licensing of medical personnel, trainings in the area of
Public Health.
