Mahwish Arooj
Dr. Mahwish Arooj is an accomplished Medical Educationist and Researcher with over a decade of experience in the field. She is currently serving as the Principal of the University College of Medicine and Dentistry and a Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Lahore.
Dr. Arooj’s academic background includes an MBBS, an M.Phil, and a PhD in Physiology, as well as a Master’s degree in Medical Education. Her post-doctoral research scholarship at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, has further honed her expertise in research and education.
Dr. Arooj is a Professor of Physiology and the Director of the Department of Medical Education at the University of Lahore. She has a strong interest in medical education, and her extensive experience includes developing an integrated modular curriculum at UCMD. She has organized more than 100 workshops that have trained thousands of participants. She is certified as a Master Trainer and is actively involved in faculty development workshops and various degree programs in medical education.
Additionally, her expertise in medical education led to her appointment as a member of the Board of Studies at the University of Health Sciences and Equator University Uganda.
