Countdown to ICME-IMEC 2025
ICME Overview
The International Conference on Medical Education (ICME) was launched by Riphah International University in 2009 to provide a credible platform for interaction among world-renowned experts in Health Professions Education. Since then, ICME has been organized biennially at various international venues, including Abu Dhabi, Mauritius, and Istanbul, and was also held as a joint conference with Ottawa 2018 in Abu Dhabi. After a gap of ten years, the conference returned to Islamabad in October 2019.
The 7th ICME was conducted virtually in 2021 in collaboration with Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta. The 8th International Conference on Medical Education (ICME) was subsequently held successfully in Baku, Azerbaijan, from October 07–10, 2023, in collaboration with Azerbaijan Medical University.
Continuing this tradition of international academic collaboration, Riphah International University, in partnership with the International Medical University (IMU), Malaysia, organized ICME-IMEC 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 09–12, 2025.
